Joyce. A Language for Computer Networks.

Abstract

This report defines an experimental programming language called Joyce which is intended for real-time applications controlled by microcomputer networks without common storage. The language includes distributed processes which communicate and synchronize themselves by means of procedure calls and guarded regions. The present version of the language is implemented on a PDP 11 single-processor system. The compiler is not available for distribution. (Author)
