Dam G is a homogeneous earthfill embankment with a concrete core-wall. The embankment is 490 feet long and 19 feet high at maximum section. There are two outlet works at the dam. The first outlet works, which is near the right end of the embankment, consists of a concrete intake structure, two 24-inch diameter cast-iron pipes, and a valve house. This outlet works is connected to the water supply system. The second outlet works, which is near the left end of the dam, is similar to the first except it consists of a single 24-inch diameter pipe. The second outlet works provides the emergency drawdown capability. The concrete chute spillway is at the left abutment of the dam. Its crest is 3.0 feet below the design elevation of the top of the dam and is 75 feet long. The approach channel is short and concrete paved. The exit channel is a continuation of the chute. A bridge extends across the spillway crest. It is supported by two piers.
