Optical Coatings as Antiarmor Weapons - A Review.

Abstract

The use of aerosols which adhere to target acquisition optics has been proposed and evaluated on several occasions over the last few years. This special publication contains a review of the previously reported studies and an assessment of the practicability of such systems. It is concluded that, barring a major technical breakthrough, additional research or development of this concept does not appear warranted. (Author)
