Automating the E-Beam Laser Laboratory.

Abstract

Experiments conducted in the E-beam Laser Laboratory require the setting of gas flows, pressures, and voltages in a timed sequence, with a variety of sensors monitoring the system. The report describes the use of a CROMEMCO microcomputer and other hardware, and details a BASIC program that senses and displays process variables digitally, reads in process parameters interactively, acquires data during an experiment, and computes and prints out test conditions and results.
