The Formulation of Selected Free Boundary Problems as Conservation Laws,

Abstract

Some free boundary problems are written as conservation laws. Numerical algorithms conserving the necessary quantities are discussed. Suitable function spaces are mentioned. Formal extensions of the algorithms to systems are proposed. Analytic difficulties in the solution of systems in higher spatial dimensions are suggested. (Author)
