Arithmetic of Complex Sets.

Abstract

Let II(IR) be the set of all real closed intervals and let omega sub 1: equal (+,-,multiplication,/) be the set of arithmetic operators on IR. By extending omega sub 1 from IR to II(IR) as usual one finds that II(IR) is closed with respect to the operations from omega sub 1. (Author)
