Bifurcations of a Model Diffusion-Reaction System.

Abstract

After some general observations on kinetic, compartmental and distributed systems a model suggested by Roessler is explored. Bifurcations to unsymmetric steady and uniform oscillatory states from the uniform steady states are demonstrated and the former are shown to break down into oscillations of increasing complexity.
