Manufacture of Army Helmet Molds by Numerical Control.

Abstract

This report documents the development of numerically controlled machine tapes for use in the manufacture of helmet molds for the Army's new Kevlar helmet. The FMILL computer program was used to develop surfaces, and CDC's APT and APTLFT were used in the actual surface machining.
