Environmental Quality Research: Use of Unicellular Algae for Evaluation of Potential Aquatic Contaminants
Abstract
Several species of marine and freshwater algae were used in bioassays to determine the effects of potential aquatic contamination which might result from the use of hydrazine propellants. Techniques are described for both chronic and spill types of exposure and the results of each are discussed. Compounds evaluated included hydrazine, monomethylhydrazine, and unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine.
