Generalized Optimality Criteria for Frequency Constraints, Buckling Constraints and Bending Elements.

Abstract

The structural optimization problem considered in this work consists in minimizing the objective function subject to a wide variety of constraints. The behavior constraints impose limitations on the quantities describing the structural response: static stresses and displacements under multiple loading conditions, natural frequencies and linear buckling load factors. In addition, side constraints are directly prescribed on the design variables themselves.
