Comparative Growth Rates of Some Reef Corals in the Caribbean.

Abstract

The growth rates of four species of corals, Acropora cervicornis (Lamarck), Porites porites (Pallas), Madracis asperula (Milne-Edwards and Haime) and Montastrea annularis (Ellis and Solander) were determined at Barbados and Jamaica. These were compared with growth rates of the same species elsewhere in the Caribbean. (Author)
