Latitudinal Differences in Growth Rates of Some Intertidal Marines Molluscs in the Caribbean.

Abstract

The growth rates of six species of intertidal marine molluscs were determined at Barbados and Jamaica. These were compared with growth rates of the same species elsewhere in the Caribbean. The six species studied were Littorina ziczac Gmelin, Nodolittorina tuberculata Mnke, Tectarius muricatus Linne, Nerita peloronta Linne, Nerita versicolor Gmelin and Nerita tessellata Gmelin.
