Structure and Properties of Glasses.

Abstract

A theory was developed to calculate the expansion coefficient of oxide glasses and new glasses of high expansion prepared phase separation was found to have large effects on expansion. When the surface of glasses was treated by pressure, the ion-exchange rate was significantly increased. The elastic properties were affected by ion-exchange. (Author)
