Low Carrier-to-Noise Ratio Reception of Video Data Link Signals - A Laboratory Investigation.

Abstract

Techniques involving analog pre-transmisson signal processing, wide deviation phase modulation, coherent detection, and field-rate recursive video filtering are combined into a transmission system capable of operating at carrier-to-noise ratios as low as -10 to -17 dB, depending on the type of noise or interference. System design concepts, test results, and planned improvements are described in detail. (Author)
