An Investigation of Minimum Buy Policies.

Abstract

This study investigates the general economics of minimum buy for non-stocked items, and evaluates alternatives for determining the size of the minimum buy, including a form of EOQ tailored to non-stocked items. The study finds that minimum buy is economical, but that to take maximum advantage of it, some modification is required in how it is implemented in the standard computer system. (Author)
