Inferred Climatology for U.S. Airports.

Abstract

Based on climatological data from airports where weather observations are taken, a climatological value is derived for most U.S. airports. This value represents the percentage of time over a period of a year that one could expect to encounter ceilings less than or equal to 1,500 feet and/or visibilities less than or equal to 3 miles. The report indicates how the data was derived and assumptions made. (Author)
