Low Temperature Regenerator Study.

Abstract

This report covers the results of a study program to determine the extent to which low temperture regenerators can be improved by utilizing size or surface effects. Subjects include surface effect contribution to specific heat; conditions necessary for significant effect; effect upon refrigeration parameters; materials selection; configurations; and plans for producing and testing improved regenerators for the 5 to 30 k regions.
