Automatic Weather Radar Echo Assessment and Tracking.

Abstract

Previously developed algorithms for automatic radar cell detection and tracking were adapted for real-time use on the AFGL Echo Track and Significance Estimator. Additional significance estimation algorithms were developed to reduce the nubmer of detected cells to a manageable number for display and interpretation. (Author)
