Performance of Omega H-Field Antennae Recessed into Aerofoils.

Abstract

The use of an H-field Omega antenna recessed below an aerofoil surface has been investigated. Theoretical and experimental aspects are discussed together with ground and flight test results of a practical installation. The mounting configuration is shown to be fully viable and is thought to have wide application to both civil and military aircraft. (Author)
