Numerical Flow Field Program for Aerodynamic Heating Analysis. Volume I. Equations and Results.

Abstract

This report documents a study to modify an existing computer program which provides an economical and easy to use analytic tool for aerodynamic heating to a wide variety of 3-dimensional vehicle configurations. This report also serves as a user's manual for the computer program plus two auxiliary programs written to analyze vehicle geometry, and presents program capabilities, input/output characteristics, and example problems. Core requirements have been minimized by the use of overlays. User oriented features of the program include minimized input requirements and various options for application flexibility. (Author)
