Israeli Air Force Projects Management: Acquiring Weapon System from the United States.

Abstract

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) major system acquisition process has only recently been developed due to the acquisition of F-15 and F-16 aircraft. The U.S. system acquisition process method and the Foreign Military Sales constraints for the Israeli acquisition process method are described. Based upon a comparative evaluation of the U.S. and of the IAF acquisition methods, a recommendation is made for modifying the existing method of IAF system acquisition. (Author)
