Formation & Diagnostics of a Cylindrical Shell Plasma.

Abstract

An apparatus was developed which forms a hollow cylindrical plasma shell of 3 x 2 cm(2) cross section 40 cm diameter by injecting a neutral gas shell of argon via supersonic injection nozzles and ionizing this shell with a high voltage electrical discharge. (Author)
