Methodology for Producing Low Cost/Disposable Mandrels

Abstract

This report describes work accomplished during a program to develop manufacturing methods and technology required to reduce the cost of batch processing of small, high production motors such as SEAS, Viper, and FFR by using disposable (low cost throw-away) casting fixtures using quick cure HTPB propellant.
