Two Models Describing the Detection Performance of a Distributed Field of Passive Sensors.

Abstract

A simulation model and an analytical model for studying the detection performances of a distributed field of passive sensors against conventional and nuclear submarines are presented. THe detection performance is measured by the mean detection probability and the standard deviation of the detection probability. A mutual check of both models has been performed and results of the comparisons are discussed. (Author)
