Advanced Image Compression Study.

Abstract

The work described in this report primarily covers two areas. The first effort described is an attempt to group images for bandwidth compression using clustering techniques on statistical measurements. The second effort is an attempt to predict the performance of the cosine transform algorithms from statistics derived from the imagery. (Author)
