A Computer Experiment to Investigate the Effect of Differential Diffusion on Smoke Modeling Calculations.

Abstract

Many aerosol diffusion models ignore the differential diffusion properties of the aerosols. This approximation is examined in a numerical experiment using more exact diffusion theory. The optical properties of the aerosol are investigated and shown to exhibit marked differences from those deriving from the approximation. (Author)
