Aircraft/Stores Compatibility Symposium Proceedings (4th) Held at Fort Walton Beach, Florida on 12-14 October 1977. Volume 1
Abstract
The purpose of this symposium was to bring together world-wide technical expertise to review and discuss aircraft/store compatibility developments and experiences. Technical papers in this volume discuss store, separation and aero/structures. Titles include: Influence of Aerodynamic Design of External Stores on Effectiveness/Cost Ratio of an Air Force; Muzzle Blast from AAH, 30mm, Area Weapon Subsystem; Kinetic Heating of Aircraft Conventional Armaments and Equipment; Electromagnetic Characteristics of Armament Equipment; Perturbed Motion of an Aircraft Following Jettisoning of a Store; A Rapid Predictive Method for Three-dimensional Transonic Flow Fields about Parent Aircraft with Application to External Stores; analytical Evaluation of the Limitations of Various Scaling Laws for Freedrop Store Separation Testing; Application of a General Purpose Dynamic Analysis Package to Problems of Store Separation; A Broad Based Technique for Prediction of Store Separation; Six- degrees-of-freedom System for Store Separation Studies in ONERA Wind Tunnels; A- 10 Aircraft Store Certification Program Review; Evaluation of Prediction Methods for Aircraft/External Store Flutter Clearance; and Investigation of Unsteady Airloads on Wing-Store Configurations in Subsonic Flow.
