Thin Anodic Oxide Films on Aluminum Alloys and Their Role in the Durability of Adhesive Bonds.

Abstract

The structure and chemical composition of anodic oxide films on aluminum alloys is discussed with reference to pure aluminum. The potential effects of these inhomogeneities are also discussed with reference to the durability of adhesively bonded structures. (Author)
