The Photolysis of Fluorotrinitromethane.
Abstract
The photolysis of fluorotrinitromethane was studied as a possible route to fluorodinitromethane. The photolysis in hydroxylic solvents gives fluorodinitromethane in yields (non-isolated) ranging from 25-50% under nonoptimized conditions. Fluorodinitromethane appears not to be formed in the photolysis in non-hydroxylic solvents. (Author)
