The Embrittlement of Alloys Under Impulse Thermal, Pressure and Chemical Conditions.

Abstract

During the past two years, we directed our metallurgical study of the embrittlement of bore surfaces toward the examination of the composition of large-calibre gun barrel surfaces via the combines SEM/SAM (Scanning Electron Microscope/Scanning Auger Microprobe) techniques. In this final report, we outline the principal results of this study. (Author)
