Synthesis and Characterization of Metallo-Organic Conducting Materials with Tetraazaannulenes.

Abstract

Compounds of the macrocyclic ligand 4,11-dihydro-dibenzo(b,i)(1,4,8,11)tetraaza(14)annulene, dB-TAA, have been prepared with Cu(2+), Ni(2+), Co(2+), Pd(2+), Pt(2+). The palladium complex crystallizes in two crystalline modifications, one of which is similar to the structurally characterized compound Ni(dB-TAA), while the second form packs as cofacial dimers in the solid state.
