A Parametric Model for the Effect of White Phosphorus Smoke on Target Detection. I. Model Development.

Abstract

The development of a parametric model for target acquisition in white phosphorus smoke is described. Parameters include wind speed and direction, stability category, and munition size. The model depicts critical cloud dimensions that prohibit target acquisition. Use of the model in simulations is described. (Author)
