Software Engineering Techniques Applied to Protocol Simulation.

Abstract

The design, implementation, debugging, validation, use, and modification of a computer simulator for the study of satellite communication protocols are reported. An important objective of the effort was to apply state-of-the-art software engineering techniques in the design and construction of the simulator. Experience with seven specific techniques is described.
