Weathering Tests on Protective Helmets Approved to Australian Standard AS 1698 (for Vehicle Users).

Abstract

This interim report describes the methodology to be used to investigate the effect of weathering on the performance of protective (crash) helmets approved to Australian Standard AS 1698. The results of the pre-exposure inspections and tests are also provided. The investigation is planned to continue for three years with inspections and tests after six months, one year, eighteen months, two and three years after the commencement of the exposure.
