Abstract
In Part I of this report--Development of an ultrasonic method for nondestructive evaluation of residual stresses -- a measure of the temperature dependence of the ultrasonic velocity is used to evaluate the state of internal stress in a solid. In Part II -- Electromagnetic methods for nondestructive evaluation. A study is made on quantitative low frequency eddy current testing on nonferromagnetic structural metals and/or microwave testing of nonmetalic materials.
