Attenuation Variation Obtained with Training When Utilizing an in-the-Ear Hearing Protective Device,

Abstract

This study attempted to determine the importance of training in the use of a specific hearing protective device, the E.A.R. earplug, which is considered a universal fit hearing protective device. The results of the study indicated that training in the use of the E.A.R. earplug is important and must be continually emphasized to provide maximal attenuation with the E.A.R. earplug. (Author)
