Two Dimensional Matched Filtering for Attitude Measurement with Applications to Target Tracking.

Abstract

An application of two-dimensional Fourier Transform correlation for the attitude measurement of three-dimensional objects is considered. Included are geometric optical equations and geometric translation and rotation equations necessary for the image error calculations. Minimum attitude resolution equations are developed to estimate image quantization necessary for a given measurement error. These techniques are then applied as an additional measurement to the radar tracking problem. (Author)
