Single-Layer Refraction Correction Model

Abstract

A single-layer tropospheric refraction model is developed for use in real time with C-band and X-band radars when tracking satellites or powered rocket vehicles above the troposphere ( approx. 25 km). Corrections for range and elevation angle are provided that are usable for all elevation angles above the horizon.
