Analysis of Energy-Absorbing Foundations.

Abstract

The report summarizes literature on analyses of nonlinear and energy-absorbing foundations, including dynamic properties of materials and behavior of configurations. The materials are steel and aluminum and the configurations of interest are honeycomb, axially and side-loaded tubes, beams and more complex structures.
