International Congress of Biorheology (3rd) Held at the University of California, San Diego on August 28 - September 1, 1978.

Abstract

The purpose of the Congress is to assemble the world's active research workers in the field of biorheology to discuss the most recent advances in this science. In recent years, there is a rapid increase in the number of people working in the field of biomechanics, which has applications to many areas of physiology, medicine, surgery and bioengineering in general. Biorheology occupies a central position in biomechanics, because all biomechanical analysis require information on the rheological properties of the materials involved.
