Approaches to Macrocyclic Polystannanes.

Abstract

This report details progress towards the synthesis of macrocyclic polystannanes. Two classes of compounds containing either diphenyltin or dimethyltin atoms are being prepared. The general approach involves building the macrocycles through a series of reactions which will permit modifications in size or functional groups. The initial targets are macrocycles containing four tin atoms. (Author)
