The Grid- A Possible Result of the Application of Fiber Optics to Undersea Surveillance: Some Potentials and the Concept.

Abstract

The grid concept is a proposal to stimulate thinking on the 'wet end revolution'. Details of a grid for global undersea surveillance and its component parts are delineated. The concept description is prefaced by a brief review of the state of fiber optic technology. (Author)
