Summary of the Advanced Teleoperator Technology Conference.

Abstract

An advanced Teleoperator Technology Conference/Workshop was conducted to initiate investigations needed to identify parameters and goals for advanced teleoperator development. The conference program examined background, history and objectives, and included presentations by sensory experts, as well as open forum discussions relating to subsystems that would acquire, transmit and display direct and extended sensory information to a remote operator. The development of such subsystems would enable an operator to project himself into remote and possibly hostile environments. (Author)
