Models of Local Computer Networks.

Abstract

This paper presents a discussion of analytical and simulation models of locally distributed computer networks that makes use of ring or bus technology. The section of the paper devoted to ring architectures focuses on models of the Pierce, Newhall, and DLCN rings. The emphasis in the bus section of the paper is on the modeling of access protocols.
