Composite-Unit Accelerated Life Testing (CUALT) of Sonar Transducers

Abstract

NOSC was assigned to develop standardized methods to accelerate the aging of transducers to provide experimental methods for early discovery of problems that would detrimentally affect their reliability and useful life cycle. A secondary accomplishment was directed to aid in the development of selected transducers currently being procured. Both projector and receiver types were included in the effort to perfect the accelerated life testing (ALT) methods.
