Non-Contacting Electro-Optical Contouring of Helicopter Rotor Blades.

Abstract

Non-contact contour measurements of helicopter rotor blades to accuracies of 0.001 inch are possible via rangefinding by triangulation employing electro-optical techniques. A prototype of a portion of such a system has been built and tested. The result of these tests indicate that the construction of the full prototype system is feasible and desirable. (Author)
