Efficient Encoding and Decoding of Speech.

Abstract

We report on continued research to improve the APC algorithm. The issue of system stability as a function of the linear prediction filter is discussed and a method for improving performance presented. The issue of computational complexity is also addressed. A new filter that reduces the computational load of the algorithm is designed for use in the resampling operations. (Author)
