Windowed Chamber Investigation of the Burning Rate of Liquid Monopropellants for Guns

Abstract

Equipment and techniques have been developed for the photographic observation of burning liquid monopropellants at pressures up to 200 MPA. Many details of the liquid surface and the reaction zone above it may be observed. Preliminary photographic runs have been made on OTTO Fuel II, NOS-365, and NOSET 'A'.
