Physical Performance Standards for Army Jobs: Procedures Manual

Abstract

This manual outlines a procedure for determining the physical ability requirements of Army jobs, without requiring a great deal of time and effort on the part either of analyst personnel or job incumbents. The manual is arranged in three sections: (1) task analysis, (2) physical abilities analysis, (3) data analysis and presentation of results. Each section describes in detail the steps necessary to carry out this scaling of physical task demands, for which research has indicated acceptable reliability.
