Modeling of Pulses Having Arbitrary Amplitude and Frequency Modulation.

Abstract

A model is developed which provides for the generation of the approximate spectra of pulsed signals with arbitrary amplitude and frequency modulation. Error bounds associated with the model are developed providing an insight into performance accuracy. The concept of using two approximate spectra to generate a more exact spectrum by means of computationally trivial calculations is addressed. The model is used to validate the feasibility of using frequency domain discriminants in the signal classification process. (Author)
